The ants are gone, you missed them. Consider yourself fortunate in that respect.

There are crystals. They usually show up after some form of major exertion, and the more complex ones will almost inevitably require you fight for them. Sometimes this is a bigger pain in the ass than others. As for the second -- I don't know how common it is, but it definitely happens. I've met two myself.

These begs the question--how are non combatants expected to acquire these crystals?

In that case I will make an effort to meet as many people as possible.

They just show up. It's hard to explain, really; they crop up when you least expect it, and usually out in the Wilderness from what I've seen.

Good plan. You never know what you might turn up.

Interesting. I will keep an eye out, as the saying goes.

How can you be sure you've met someone you once knew? I recall only one face and a part of another from my dream--What happens if you encounter someone from you past life? Is there a chance you might completely miss it?

You just...know. They'll feel familiar. In one case it was because we share an extremely distinctive trait; in another it was one of the two people clearest in my dream. It took a while to determine it for certain, but now I know beyond all shadow of a doubt.

Interesting. I suppose unique traits would be a good indication.

A feeling is not much to go on, even if it is strong, however.
