Better Late Than Never: Paris Photos

Oct 16, 2009 20:42

My (very) dusty flickr account now has some (~100) Paris pictures on it. It's only the first two days, really, but I ran out of bandwidth :P So far featuring: Musee d'Orsay, Musee de Rodin, the Champs de Mars/Eiffel Tower, food, and Notre Dame.

You've got some really gorgeous pictures! I especially love the ones of the food. ;) And the doors. I love doors, too.

Also, when I was there, I was only there for three days, so I didn't get to see nearly that many museums, and as a museum-freak, all I have to say is: JEALOUS.

Thanks! I'm really not much of a photographer--there are far more blurry images than well-taken ones--but out of ~1500, some of them turned out pretty well after all *g* Seriously, the number of door-pictures I took... Love doors, and they were all so pretty and different.

My parents and I bought museum passes for six days, so we went to a *lot* of museuems--we were only in the Louvre for 4-5 hours after going through the Orangerie and the Tuileries--so there'll be plenty of those. It worked out really well :D Which ones did you go to?

but out of ~1500, some of them turned out pretty well after all *g* Hee!

I'm so amused you share my door-love! I took a bunch of pictures of those while wandering through Europe as well...

That's so awesome. We spent about four or so hours in the Louvre, we went to Versailles one day (which pretty much took all day), we went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, and we visited Notre Dame. I think that's all? We didn't have a ton of time, so we just visited the really touristy places.

I have a question for you, but I think I'm going to send you a PM instead of asking it here....

Doors here are pretty well all the same, so Paris (my first trip out of North America) was definitely good for that *g*

Notre Dame was my favourite spot to visit, and you got the big ones, so that's good. The Musee d'Orsay (the renovated train station) was really cool and had a lot of great art, which was one of my favourites besides the big names. Plus, the quarters (Jewish and Montmartre) and all, but that's just a time issue.

Hope my answer helped! Let me know :)
