I have been talking about an Isra mix *forever*, especially since I have the longest iTunes playlist ever dedicated to her character and Isra/Gaffil, not to mention all those stubborn pb's. This isn't the story/playlist I've mentioned; I'm still hammering what songs work best for which part of her life, all in my characteristically lazy way. Still

lol, well, yes, but Ani DiFranco is one of the few singers I listen to who strikes the approximate right balance for Isra; my other character playlists don't have nearly as much of her music :p

No, I find this really fascinating, and I don't care if you ever let Always go. Because I love it--it's one of my great fanfic experiences. So if you want to keep throwing out this sort of thing (Kyp/Sanar = OTP), I certainly won't mind. ;)

Really fascinating insights into her character. Very cool. I love the way you put this together; it makes me want to do similar things with my own characters.

Well, I'm glad my madness hasn't started to grate on everyone's nerves, yet, because Always really does seem to be the story/characters I can't quite leave behind :P I'll get started on finishing that K/S playlst, though--it's been "almost ready" for a while, which is almost more *facepalm,eriniscrazy* than its actual existence, methinks :P

As much as I love stories, my family is very musical, so I've always been surrounded in it, and now it comes out in my writing; for a character like Isra, in particular, a lot of these songs were ones that helped make a clearer image in my mind. An imperfect image, perhaps--I'm frightfully mainstream, sometimes, and spies don't tend to become famous singers :P--but a helpful one :)

Also, it would be awesome if my music!writing!otp got passed on--I'd love to see some of your lists, both for the insights and the music :)

There are some characters I don't think I'll ever outgrow, so I know what you mean. Of course, I haven't actually written most of their stories down like you have--they just live in my mind and don't plan on moving out any time soon--so I haven't had quite your experience, but I can imagine.

I have a bit of a music obsession as well because of my family--mostly my dad--but I haven't really had much of a crossover between it and my writing, though now I'm wondering why I haven't.

Oh, all my characters stick with me, forever and aye, but particularly the ones I've written about, and especially if I've invested as much time and as much of *me* as I have for the Always cast. Five years is a lot of time :\ :p
