Doctor Who 4x10 ("Midnight")

Dude. Doctor Who kicked ass today. Episodes like these (and besides the obvious, long-reaching plots, companions, Rose, etc) are the reason I am going to miss RTD when Moffat takes over. And then we had that preview for the next episode. Seriously, none of you have any idea how excited I am for next Saturday ( Read more... )

Considering how well Moffat's done before, I'm kinda of looking forward to his "reign". RTD did give us those adorable and not entirely threatening Adipose.

However. Question: What was the point of that episode? We never found out what it was. Maybe it'll turn up later?

And I am dying to see Rose again. Miss her so much!

(Also, I need good Rose fic. Hurry up! :P [CitR'll have to tide me over until then, I guess. It's all Melody's fault!])

I'm not exactly *not* looking forward to him--I liked The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances & Blink, and his latest wasn't bad, but I am a little...wary. Mostly because I made the mistake of reading other people's posts, in which they pointed out some potential problems; and I've liked RTD's stuff so far. (Of course, to be fair, this is the same who guy who's in charge of Torchwood, so maybe we've just been lucky these past four years :P) So, basically, I'm just sort of on the fence about it--I'll miss RTD more than I'll want it to be someone other than Moffat ( ... )

Midnight just didn't seem complete without an explanation about what it was. Maybe I'm just weird. :P

I am enjoying CitR. Even though I want to smack Sanar over the head for being stupid about Kyp. She's my favorite, thus far. But Krista's growing on me. :D

Ah, well, the alien--despite what Ten's constant talk about something "entirely new," I rather assumed that it was one of Midnight's unknown natives, considering how the group was talking, in the beginning, about how there was no history/life at all on Midnight before the pleasure company settled in. And if not something old, than a being that had been slowly evolving and finally making a grab at these newcomers--the flight was unlucky, going into new territory. But I suspect that the mystery was deliberately left unsolved, because the alien/possessor played on people's fears of the unknown and their reactions to the unnerving/strange in nervous situations; had they given a name, it might have made it less frightening, more susceptible to being controlled/faced. /2 cents theory.

I'm glad you're enjoying CitR, though I'm afraid Sanar doesn't really start softening to Kyp until ItM--and, really, you have to admit she has some good reasons, right? ;p Also, she's just...Sanar :P Krista's very amusing, too, though--if you want some of her ( ... )
