I? Am going to be needing those 2 L boxes of ice cream. And a milkshake. Possibly bubble tea.

When being put to sleep to get your wisdom teeth pulled out, you're told not to eat 8 hours before the appointment. For me, that means midnight. So of course I get hungry at 12:06am ( Read more... )

in the morning, life

They're actually still yet to be pulled--this morning, at 8. I'm just pushing through all the pre-surgery anxiety :S

yes :( Although I am, apparently, being one of the extremely rare cases in which wisdom teeth-pulling is not...horrible? One theory is that my mouth's pain threshold is a lot higher, thanks to the previous (some permanent) teeth pulling, gum grafts, and braces. So far, it isn't actually all that much worse than having a tooth pulled with braces. Definitely better than the gum graft (for which I wasn't asleep). It's making me paranoid, lol.

Good luck with your wisdom teeth surgery! I hope it goes smoothly, and hopefully the post-op pain and disorientation is not too bad. I heard that when you're out completely for the surgery, you can have some post-op discomfort. Hopefully it's not too bad though. Best of luck!

Thanks :) I'm actually turning out to be very lucky--it really isn't that much worse than having one of my permanent teeth pulled, and I've had a *lot* of regular/4 perm. teeth pulled, so... And it's better than the gum graft. So long as I can keep my paranoia under wraps, now, it should be okay :p

Jon here, Erin.

Hope your teeth feel better. And I'm sure whatever you write will be awesome. :D

Wisdom teeth, huh? I had such a horrible reaction to that. My face swelled up till I looked like a chipmunk or an alien or something and I threw up everything I tried to eat for three days (the nurse said all this was because I was so small, but I think I was allergic or whatever medicine they gave me. Either that, or I was swallowing blood while I slept).

But I'm sure your experience won't be that bad. One of my friends got hers out in the morning (hahaha! I should try to use those three words whenever I write in your journal) and then played a softball game that night. I guess it just depends.

Good luck!

And I'm sure there's nothing to hate in your new update. You're wonderful, hon, seriously. Wonderful. And I'll be very much looking forward to this next chapter. But take your time!

Oh, and I like the new layout, by the way.

It actually turned out to be not that bad for me--possibly because, between gum grafts, braces, and having 90% of my teeth (+ two permanent teeth, roots included) pulled, I have a higher pain threshold for mouth pain. I wasn't quite softball-playing by the night, but despite the expected can't-eat-anything-hard consequences, I'm doing fine. Thank goodness :\ Though--the constant bit of bleeding isn't fun, is it? Even if it isn't much, just, blagh.

I'm glad you like the layout :D Isn't it pretty? I'm thinking of nixing the header--it didn't come with the layout, and I think it's rather obvious--but I'm leaving that for Later Decision Time.

So glad it turned out all right for you. I was praying for you.

My favorite park of the layout is this little exploding flower thing over in the corner. So pretty! And I like the the header, but I think it would still be really cool without it. So either way.
