Ausiello and others are saying that CBS has officially booked Alex O'Loughlin for the upcoming remake of "Hawaii 5-0." I'm not sure why he's giving CBS yet another chance to screw him over, but there ya go.

Daniel Dae Kim (of Lost) is also cast, so it would be great if this show actually turned out to be good, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope ( Read more... )

They just need to let him out of his contract so he can find work elsewhere.

As far as I understand, he doesn't have a choice in working for CBS right now. He's under contract with them.

I love Alex...but this is SO stupid. Walk AWAY from CBS!

Yeah, I don't think he can just walk away because he is under contract..but I can see this show being a better fit for him. Hopefully it's well written as you'd think Daniel Dae Kim would be picky about his first post Lost role...not to mention, that will bring the show more visibility...

Don't forget BSG was a remake too and that rocked! The question is about how good the writers are, etc and if they've got an idea of where they want to go with the story.
