I feel the same way. I don't want to see him wasted on some crappy procedural. :(

Same here -- CBS *HAD* Alex on a great show with, in their own words, "a passionate fanbase" so I don't understand yanking that show and then starting another.

Had I seen Alex before Moonlight? No. Will I watch him in other projects now that I know he's a good actor? Yes. Will I watch him on other CBS projects? Likely so, but I would have preferred to *continue* watching him and the rest of the fabulous cast in Moonlight.

Now can they sign Sophia and Jason to the same show as well? Then I can pretend Mick, Beth and Josef have entered some kind of vampire relocation program. Hmm, yes, delusional, but my caffiene has not kicked in yet. Off to make icons.

I agree they should have Alex on Moonlight instead of a new show although I am a Grey's Anatomy fan. If CBS cares about the passionate fan base why don't they give us what we want instead of a whole new show.

CBS? is clueless. I'm happy for him to have a job and get paid, but I don't want any more damn procedural shows. Ugh.

Much as this isn't a popular opinion, Moonlight was still a procedural in genre's clothing.

This new project is nothing he hasn't done before.

As a mod note, getting pissing about CBS's decision isn't going to help here. Support Alex in a new show or don't, it's that simple.

This.

And yeah, really, they're keeping Alex which shows they support and believe in him. It's better than just tossing him aside. A business relationship is being developed here between Alex and CBS, Moonlight-related or not.
