Oh wow, this'll be awesome! How long have you been in Australia for? Are you enjoying it? I hope we're being nice to you, a lot of my reasoning behind wanting to move to Canada is that everyone I know says that Australians and Canadians are virtually the same, sense-of-humor wise :)
Lols. I've been here 3 times since 2008, this time since last March (applied for permanent residency this time). I love it here, but I'm hating the weather atm. Everyone is nice, and you're right, I see a lot of similarities between here and home. A lot of differences as well obviously but in terms of people being genuinely kind and down to earth. I've been through a lot of airports in different countries in the past three years and there's always a distinct atmosphere in each one and Aussieland is always the best :).
When do you plan to move to Canada? Is it somewhere you actually want to settle and live or are you going on a working holiday visa or something? And why Toronto? :)
I'm hoping to move at the end of this year/early next year. I don't know whether I'll settle there or not, the visa I'm applying for is valid for 24 months so either way, I want to be there for a while! And as to why I want to go to Toronto - I've always been obsessed with skylines and Toronto's is pretty up there for me. Pretty shallow reason, but I've researched all the different suburbs as well and it just seems like a really fascinating, multicultural place :).
Derp~ 0w0 (a common line..but~) So I saw you over at an add-friends group and decided to poke around your posts and found it quite fun to read =D
One ve~ery important thing about me is i'm a procrastinator so i rarely update my LJ (i have hopes to change that in some farfar-future >d) I am more of a "comment-or?", but i would love to be friends ? ~ <(^0^)/
Dead Like Me is my most favourite show of all time! People I know who've watched it are like "Yeah, but nothing happens, they just sit at the waffle place and watch people die" and I'm all "EXACTLY, IT WAS FLAWLESS."

but found your profile on add_me and thought:
1) In a better world your Rosanne enthusiasm would've achieved the opposite effect.
remembered,
2) I once turned a flirtatious exchange into a debate about the pros and cons of dating Mystique from the X-Men, and whether or not she would morph into your likeness at odd or inconvenient times just to dick with you.
and concluded,
3) A basic lack of flirting prowess acts as a solid foundation for internet friendship.
