I think family tragedy probably refers to Hamlet's family - not as in a tragedy for the whole family :P

I assume so. But the way the narration is spoken... it's a bit ambiguous in the most hilarious way.

Public broadcasting is unbeatable. I'm glad I saw the show before I read this, otherwise it would've been totally ruined for me...'cause you know, for whatever reason, I imagined that Hamlet was based on Porky's. Boy was I ever surprised.

Does PBS not have the hulking 3 hours of this film on their website or are you just not willing to sit in front of you computer for 3 hours watching Hamlet?

So ends my nostalgic browsing.

You know, I didn't even check to see if they did... they do! Nice! But I'm still just going to watch the DVD copy, since the TV screen is larger than my computer.
