The obligatory post
Overall the election results have left me optimistic. The right man won the Presidency. The guy with the bad grammar did NOT win the School Board position.
And yeah, I'm disappointed about Prop 8. Very disappointed. But I'm not gonna let it get me down right now. And this issue is not settled. Believe that. -

So there's this guy running for school board in my district. His campaign slogan is
"Expect more, I do"
Okay, this may sound petty, but if you wanna get MY vote for school board, you have to know better than to link two independent clauses with a comma.
