You should do what I do - put them somewhere painfully obvious, increasing your chance of remembering by about 30%!

Oh come now - *everyone* knows that rabbits lay eggs... And have lots to do with the religious significance of the event.

At least it amuses the kids (and the adults watching them).

Egg hunts are a blast! Especially when the kids are all dressed up in their Easter finest. I just can't help but be amused by people performing a ceremony that is so obviously pagan while putting bumper stickers on their cars that say "Jesus is the reason for the season."

Oh definitely. So many traditions that started from trying to gain acceptance among traditionally pagan cultures - many people don't even stop to ponder it (assuming they're even aware in the first place).
