Tonight, at 9pm west coast, Ghost Hunters is showing their new episode.

This new episode was filmed in Fresno, CA.

At the Clovis Sanitarium.

Where I worked, in the haunted house, many years ago!

I'm so excited I can hardly type. Everybody watch! I'm pretty sure this is the house I'm thinking of. I'm going to check out their website right now and see if ( Read more... )

I was trying to copy the photo into my journal 'cause I pasted it there first, and got the DP comment too. heheeh

it was a decent episode, but i'm pretty sure TAPS got duped. that audio anomaly thing was far too clear. i think that if they had a RF detector with them, they would have found the source of the sound. something about it just didn't sit right with me. however, because of this episode, i am now adding an RF detector to my hunting gear. it will also be good for ruling out stray radio transmissions that are being confused for EVPs.

i wonder if the owners of the place would let me go out and investigate there. i'd love to see if for myself, either way.

They have a large sign up outside of the building indicating they are giving tours, so I'm betting yes, they would let you investigate.

Oh, and I agree, that did sound a bit like a recording. The simple fact that the owner did not mention the previous history of having actually turned the place into a haunted house for four years running concerned me as well.

two other questions on this: 1)was the owner you dealt with the same guy that was on TV? and 2) when you worked the spookhouse there, did they have electricity on-site?

The name is familiar; I'm pretty sure it is the same guy, but granted, it's been like, 10 years since I worked there. I think they used generators then too. The building was wired, and we had electricity, but only after they turned on the master switch or something. I remember having to crawl through the house in the dark when they did have the lights on one time...

We were never allowed down in the basement at the time, due to liability issues; they were planning on adding it to the tour "eventually".

I have a friend that worked there the year before I did, and he even got to spend the night! They stopped doing it after that year, since the guys all got plaster and ran around screaming all night. Apparently it was pretty trippy. Ah, and I remember him saying the lights were out all night long...
