Some people (most people) on my f-list that are familiar with the Santa Barbara games probably already know. But I'm reposting phar0 's post here:

If you're friends of Lance and Carla (laevus and cyperpilate here on LJ), you should know that they were injured in the fires local to their home. They've got several 2nd degree burns with some small 3rd

That sucks. I know at least one person who has lost everything but his clothes and the car he drove to get away from the fires in OC... when I went to work the Prop 8 protest yesterday morning, there was one fire. When I finished my shift, here were four, with a fifth having started and been put out, in the South Bay... interesting times...
