I am, of course, loving the Eliot angst, but I have to say what I am loving the most about this installment so far is Sophie. I love your approach to her identity issues, and I love her mixed feelings about Eliot, and Eliot&Nate. A lot of times in Nate/Eliot fics Sophie is the all-knowing, all-accepting supportive friend, which is cool, too, but I really like her ambivalence here. She's mostly resigned, but a little bitter, a little angry, a little hurt. But she still cares about Eliot enough to understand what he's feeling/going through, and... I just love the way you're writing their very complicated relationship, and how complicated it actually is. ♥
Also, I'm eager to see Tara's reaction when she realizes who Eliot is/was. An intriguing storyline for an underused character.
Yay fic!! ^_^

This is actually one of my favorite chapters in this series (and possibly ever) it just felt sort of like the characters were getting somewhere and going in circles the relationship drama made mostly sense and yeah.
Glad you like the Tara stuff, there's much more to come!

I really, really liked Sophie in this. That she is confused and insecure, but at the same time still supportive and kind to Eliot. You made me like her a lot - mostly I don't do that (sorry).
But poor Eliot, not for a minute just really being happy, but expecting to lose everything (especially Nate) again. I am so hoping for a happy ending when you are done.
The whole thing with Samuel and Charlie and "the other" guy? Leaves me wanting more, 'cause I am not sure I understand it all completely. At least the end gave me the answer to who Eliot is ... I wonder how Tara (and Nate) are going to react to that.

Thanks for the comment! Its always good to hear I managed to hit the emotional beats I was going for. Sorry if it's a little confusing, hopefully it'll clear up before the end.
As for a happy ending? Well that would be telling.
