Hmmm... It's as if reflux and gallstones are ganging up on you to cut out all the rest of the food groups you're able to eat.
It sucks that pregnancy can have this much of a toll on a woman's body. I really hope you feel better soon and that the rest of Splodge's time inside goes more smoothly.
Thanks. :) Honestly, I'm fairly grateful for what seems to have been a fairly easy pregnancy - I don't feel terribly put upon, maybe because I expected pregnancy to change me and my life dramatically, maybe as a result of not being chronically depressed anymore, maybe a combo of that and more things!
I'm really eager for the reflux to pass, and the gallstone situation is a bit scary, but on the upside now I have even more encouragement from my body to eat healthily, I guess. At least I only have a month before Splodge is born and my body can start settling into a more long-term pattern of things. Soon. :)
My dad had several attacks of gallstones before he had them surgically removed, and I remember that during one attack he was hallucinating because of the pain. Apparantly they are up there with kidney stones in terms of pain and are described as the equivalent of giving birth. :/ Though I imagine that when you give birth you might have something stronger for the pain? Hope that you feel better sweetie! xo
My Nan said that birth was easier, coz you get breathing space between pains. ;)
In which case, I'm viewing it as a practice run! :)
Thanks hun, I had a very mild flare up this afternoon (complete with heartburn), but initial research suggested these can be shut down with a large glass of water at the start. So far, the results are good. And hopefully it will quieten down once I have more internal space - which will be in less than a month now.
Oh you poor thing! That sounds completely and totally shite. I am so appalled at how they treated you, also! I hope you are feeling better now and fingers crossed no more attacks x

And actually knowing what's going on might help too.
