I am loving Goodreads.com right now, though I have a serious problem with remembering to update it. I need a startup widget or something

I think your tastes are too depressing for me, Amee. :( I like some puppies and rainbows in my good movies, as well as the darker stuff.
But you're right - it was an amazing film! Just the right amount of meaty vs. entertainment, even if it was very dark. I'm glad I didn't go see it at the cinema in London though - it would have been too overwhelming for me. And that was before I was pregnant (I have become a total wussbag now, bloody hormones! Matt is sad because I can't stand to watch zombie movies with him anymore, and I am sad because I really want to see Evil Dead 3 which the Silent Partner HAS, but I know I won't be able to sit through it at the moment).
I think they are too depressing for me too! I decided ooh.. maybe a year or so ago that watching that stuff was bad for my soul ;) And the scary stuff, too (eg. the zombie movies.. I just can't do it now either! *whimpers*). I sleep better now that I have stopped watching it all! I agree about seeing it in London. *snuggles*. Nervous breakdown to the max!
Sadly I have not managed to find much that is both powerful and the right amount of fluffy.
And speaking of being a total wussbag in movies (bloody hormones!) I cried my little eyes out in "Run Fatboy, Run" because it just seemed like the saddest thing ever. I also cried pretty heavily during the trailer for "PS, I Love You".. starring Hillary Skank. *smacks forehead* So maybe nothing is safe!

Umm... so is Secretary. Well, somewhat (it's about as dark as I want to go, these days).
Ach, who'm I kidding? I just watch the BBC Pride & Prejudice over and over again, these days!
