It's 6:30 in the morning... I am YET to go to sleep. And I WONT be going to sleep. Why? Because I came up with this crazy idea that pulling an all-nighter would fix my shitty sleep cycle. So rather than going to sleep at 4 or 5am and waking up at like, 2, I'm just NOT gonna sleep ( Read more... )

See, I've got mixed feelings about all nighters. Yeah it's a great way to get tired, and hopefully your body will respond and fall asleep at a "regular" schedule, but it's also kind of a crap shoot. Now you're betting that the energy reserves that you have, plus whatever food you're putting into yourself are enough to get you through the day. I was in the exact situation you were in on Black Friday, having stayed up really late for 2 days prior I slept for half an hour, and worked from 7 until 3. 3:45? i nodded off and got into an accident. And I was drinking soda and listening to loud music (damn caffiene tolerance) Am I saying that you'll fall asleep randomly during the day? Probably (and hopefully) not. But there's also mental clarity to be considered when you're going about the day.

Excercise is probably a better bet. Try like 30 good minutes of yoga at night if you don't want to run/ don't have an activity, that should start making you tired.

Hope you do get a good night's sleep though...
