Sometimes, the decision that makes you saddest at the time in the end turns out to be the thing that was best for you.
I've been there. The break-up with Jenny and the aftermath - even though that technically wasn't MY decision - at the time, made me miserable. I couldn't imagine how it could have been a good idea.
Now I have some perspective. Even though it tore me up and ate away at me and made me emo at the time, it really was the best course of action for the both of us. Had that not happened, I wouldn't have gone through whatever growing I went through after the break-up, I'd be miserable without knowing it, and I wouldn't be in the totally awesome relationship I'm in now.
I don't know if that helps. It probably doesn't. I don't know.
