Funny you say that. Some people in college are disposable. There are the people you say "hi" to in class, but would never even think about hanging out with outside there.
But you also meet people in college that become like a second family. You meet the people that you'd trust with your life and the ones that you know will be at your wedding in the future. Don't give up on the people you haven't met yet too soon. They tend to pop up later XD
That's really encouraging and you're right, considering I only just started in September. But sometimes the case is you want to hang out with them but they can't make time for you. And then it all becomes sad, especially since you can't see them anymore.
Well, then again, that's probably a reoccurring theme in many places and not just college. DX
Yeah, you just started. Give it time. I didn't find the people I knew where gonna stick with me till well into my 2nd year. It took a shit ton of drama and a little bit of serendipity, but it was well worth it. Because the people that stick with you are really the ones you're going to want to be friends with forever.
Wait, I don't know what PEI is *fails million times over* but the hanging out seems to be NEEDED because you need to tell me about the Enchanted fanfics (oh yes, I saw) and everything else I'm missing.
It's pretty true, though. People I met my freshman year and thought I'd keep in contact with for forever, now that I've graduated, I don't speak to anymore. I don't really know what they're doing, where they're going other than what pops up on my mini-feed. It's a sad truth but certainly a reality.
However, the people that you do find you click the best with are the ones you're going to stay in contact with for a while after. :)
I feel exactly he way you do. I came with the intention of meeting new people and making new friends, and I did, but since there's so many people and nearly all of my closest friends from my old HS at our school, part of me wants to stick by them and others want me to make more new friends. Recently I feel as though I've neglected some of my old friends because I never see them. Like I feel like I don't put effort into seeing anyone, and it's a little stressful. Everyone is trying to do their own thing, but at the same time trying to do things together with others. I'm always torn between going off and getting things done on my own or making an effort to do them with friends. And then when I do things with friends I have to choose between old friends and new friends (though I easily think I can combine all my groups of friends because everyone seems to share similar interests afterall. I can see everyone becoming friends with each other you know
