An exaggeration of the actual science. There's a long way to go before the word "cure" starts getting thrown around. To be fair, at least some of the articles I've read actually do a decent job of explaining that, but there's many that don't do such a good job. But in both cases, I think it's shameful how the media is so willing to write breathless headlines to drive traffic to their articles when they know good and well that people will remember more of the headlines than what's in the 7th through 15th paragraphs of the articles.
They should do a poll to see how many people believe, in light of the torrent of headlines, that AIDS has been cured. Somehow I think the results would be interesting -- and would probably make me want to throw things.

I loathe 95+% of comedy of the past 30+ years, and even I think that was awesome.
