Kiki is a Cymric, which I've mentioned before and a "rumpy-riser". We've known this stuff for ages though.

Our phones have full keyboards because while we'll do small amounts of typing on our touchpads, I at least prefer the keyboard for longer typing like e-mail and LJ. We've got Galaxy phones.

If it's an Android phone have you tried S2E? With correct partitioning of your SD card it allows the moving of the app data to the SD card. On a phone with 180MB of internal memory and a load of apps installed I'm only using about 35MB of internal memory.

My fine dexterity is not as good as it used to be (I can't thumb type at all now), and I totally agree about touch-pad keyboards. I find it much easier and quicker with even a small physical one.
