Thanks! I tend to think that any time you enter a relationship with a person it's really a package deal; everyone already has all sorts of people in their life to accept. Kidlet just makes that extra-easy by being so ridiculously adorable. Besides, I've never understood taking out adult relationship tensions on the kids who are involved through no fault of their own! I'd rather take the "It Takes A Village" approach myself.

Besides, all my other godkids are long-distance. It's fun to have someone local to spoil!

Oh, I forgot to add one of the most awesome things about welcoming Kidlet into my life; getting to watch Chad be all Dadly! It's awesome and beautiful, and one of the things I love about him. And Kidlet's the most important person in his life; I don't really understand how I could honestly love Chad and not love the offspring he adores, and that brings out all those wonderful elements in his personality.

We did! We didn't make it to as many places as we'd hoped, but fun was had by all, and we happened to see that the Museum of Natural History has a Mythic Beasts exhibit going on until July. I think that's now our plan for next weekend.

I loved "Ronia the Robber's Daughter" as a child! Made me want to live in a fort and be all fiesty. I think it was at the same time as my obsession with dressing like Robbin Hood.

I just finished it last night. Loved it through the last page, and it's going exceedingly high on my list of awesome book recs! (more complete review coming soon, hopefully)
