Last night my youngest sister (she's 13 now) told Mom and I, in her "can you believe the crap those talking heads say" voice, "Did you know that scientific research shows a link betwen having tattoos and drugs & sex?!" We all laughed, and agreed that the right study could show that 'scientific research shows a link between wearing glasses and drugs & sex' or 'lack of tattoos shows a link to drugs & sex'.

Glad to see she's on board with the "just because they say so does't make it true" camp :)

Between lousy science reporting, soundbites, and overall confusion of correlation with causation, most science-related headlines these days just make me wince...
