bec76 caught a couple of good shots of Shroom asleep on my head (her normal position, especially during winter). I'm very pleased. This is my cranky old lady cat; she's about 15 or so, and sleeping with her reminds me frequently of one of the most awe-inspiring aspects of interspecies friendship -- the trust. That is so totally cool with Shroom! Blot and Eartha bracket me at night when it's not too cold and sleep under the covers with me when it is.
So glad you had a good birthday.
I totally get the Want New Furry friend thing. Although I know I'll be reuniting with Blots brother WeHo and kitten Mollie in March when I move back to c'bus, I've been seriously jonesing for another cat.

First of all -- I hate the automatic blood pressure machines. They are evil. It's not a size thing for me, it's pressure. I have very low blood pressure, but you can't tell a machine that, so it always rachets up the starting pressure unnecessarily high, and yes, I've often gotten those little red pin-head bruises from those machines. Just. Not. Necessary ( ... )

Actually, the frequency of hypopneas that I had puts me in the "severe apnea" category, despite not having any actual bouts of apnea at all, precisely. So I'm hoping the CPAP may make a good deal of difference, as much as I'm not overly thrilled with the actual idea.

I did call the Clinic about the automated cuffs, though, and they seemed receptive to my concerns, so here's hoping they'll at least get some variety of sizes available, if nothing else. Until then, I'm insisting on manual reads.
