I had an extremely difficult weekend -- blah blah hard hard, everyone's fine, not interested in talking about it, I'm fine too -- but the coffeeshop has been playing Paul Simon all morning and it helps a lot. The 'Urinetown' soundtrack. Which totally shouldn't work since it's such an utterly depressing story, but as one of the characters complains to the meta-narrator "the music's so happy!"

Man, I don't know that I'm always in the mood for anything, but I am often in the mood for my "happy" playlist, and I am usually a sucker for synthpop (Information Society, say, or Echoing Green or something like that).

Oooh, and sexy German basses. Is anyone ever not in the mood for sexy German basses?
