[On the screen of the skyphone, Strago can be seen with a thoughtful look on his face, wondering about something. He then decides to clear his throat and speak.]

So, I have heard the people here call the Espers here, "Eidolons", and I was wondering if that is one of the names they go by in other worlds?  Do you call them something else in your world ( Read more... )

Hm? Your world doesn't have any Espers? Well, maybe it is a good thing for you, then. Someone could use their power to try to take over the world.

[Insert frown here.] Someone tried to take over the world even without creatures like that.

[Serah looks contemplative. She can talk around this, right? They're all safe here, right now. So she won't change that beyond answering his question.] Where I'm from... they were called Eidolon's too. They came to you when you were in great need.

... and those who could summon didn't have horns. There seem to be some here who do, though. On Gaia in particular: a lot of books I've read say the Summoner tribe all had horns.

"In great need"? I never heard anything like that before.

[Nods.]

Yes, I read those books as well. I was just wondering if other places had summoners like that, too.

[Serah nods, slowly.] I suppose it was when... you needed to be saved, to overcome despair. To be reminded of what you needed to do. That's when they all came.

[Now she looks interested.] You have? That's good. Books truly are wonderful at giving us information.

Maybe they do, y'know? Some do, some don't...

That sounds dire...

[A wistful smile replaces the sad look on his face.]

Books can be informative at times, yes.
