[Locke drops to the ground, surprised at the intensity of the attack.

He shakes off the attack, tugging at his bandanna as he stands up slowly.]

We won't go down that easy.

[Locke flings his boomerang at their foe with a smirk.]

[ Darkga is definitely not something Runic can deal with and Celes grits her teeth as the spell washes over her. Digging her heels into the ground, she braces herself before rushing up to blast the creature with Stock Break. ]

[Having leapt into the air as soon as the creature was spotted, Edgar comes crashing back down on the beast, avoiding most of the Darkga but still catching enough of the tail end to stun him. Shaking his head to clear it and stumbling back a step or two, he sets a look of determination on his face and repositions his spear for a frontal lunge.]

There will be no loss on our watch!

[That lunge is attempted, making the creature howl - and a shimmering comes over it as it knocks Edgar away, making him roll to not hurt himself too badly. The battle has been changed, but it's not obvious how]

[Terra frowns upon seeing that shimmering, but isn't certain, either. She takes a quick moment to renews her Holy attack, since that seemed so effective a moment ago. The creature responds by focusing on her. She cries out again upon feeling its energy surround her, draining her....]

It sapped my magic!

[And now the creature is too close. She has no choice but to draw her sword and slice at it...only for her blow to have no effect. The paling deflects all physical attacks.]
