[With an arm around Fang's middle to keep him stable while riding behind her, Balthier grinned as he leaned over to peer around Bahamut's girth, spotting Basch and Lightning as they emerged from the restaurant.]

They're taking the bait. Any direct orders?

[Fang had come prepared - the eidolon wasn't exactly pleased with this form of use, but Bahamut was also carting along several bags filled with rose petals, all with convenient holes snipped in them for easy pouring. Her grin easily matched Balthier's, but she had a very good idea what was going through Light's might at that moment.]

Make it rain. And prepare to duck.

[And with that, Fang turned over one of the bags once they were about twenty feet above the ground, letting out a trail of rose petals to fall over their friends.]

Get them down here first.

[If only he had a bow. He would shoot them down. But alas, he didn't. When they came swooping down, Basch was prepared to duck. But instead of any attack, the rose petals came.

Oh, so Balthier and Fang thought they were funny, hm? THERE IS SO MUCH LINEFACE RIGHT NOW.]

[fulminous]

[ Oh that is it. Two could play at the rose petals game, and Lightning stanced, summoning Odin. He appeared in horse form, and Lightning got on (ignoring that her skirt was hiked up around her knees) and reached down for Basch. ] Let's ride!

[ You are a dead woman, Fang. ]

[Balthier generously dumped another bag of rose petals, causing them to fall in unusual patterns by giving the bag a sound snap before reaching for another. As Light and Basch mount Odin, he lightly taps Fang's shoulder.]

You may wish to pull up, love.

Don't go teachin' your mum how to fly. [But she had the same idea, since Bahamut was already spiraling upwards again as Fang dumped yet another bag of petals. Yeah, she was probably dead after this. But at least they were talking now.]

[Basch, not hesitating, grabbed Lightning's hand and hoisted himself up onto the back of Odin. You have no idea how hot you look, Light.]

Let us ride then.

[fulminous]

[ If she knew, she'd be tripping all over herself. ] Hold on tight. Hya!

She kicked Odin into gear, and he began to run, knowing what Lightning was chasing after. She held the blades out at her sides, keeping her eyes on the dragon above. ]

Didn't mean to backseat-pilot. [Balthier puts one hand up in defense before grabbing another bag and dumping it almost directly on the pair.]

The two of them are absolutely hopeless. Do you think they'll recognize how necssary this was? [He chuckles.]

[And Fang was just smirking like hell.]

Probably not. But, I'll try and explain like usual - wouldn't be the first time she punched me in the face- Hold on!

[Dumping one last bag of petals, Fang leaned, causing Bahamut to swing wide over the city and back towards the docks - and the ocean. Odin needed footing; it was her job to deny the other eidolon that.]

[Basch's muscular arm wrapped around Lightning's midsection, hand flat against her stomach to steady himself, yet to give her enough room to maneuver. He had enough training in mounted combat to remember this, thank the gods.]

We must find a way to get them on the ground!

[fulminous]

Tch! [ Light snarled, lip curling and she shifted her weight. ] SHe's headed towards the ocean! [ And Lightning knew exactly why. Odin began to turn, and Lightning flanked the Dragon above them, concentrating before sending a Thundaga spell their way.

She was quite unaware of Basch's arm around her waist, for the moment. ]

[Balthier received the brunt of the spell's power, jerking violently behind Fang and setting his jaw once the pain subsided. He raises his voice to be certain he's heard down below.]

Uncalled for!

It's Light, that's what she does! [Fang's own skills were useless right then, but fortunately Bahamut's wings still worked - the dragon king banked again, climbing through the air above the island. High enough and they'll be out of spell range.]

[Basch calls out after Balthier, narrowing his eyes. Granted, he probably didn't deserve Thundaga, but it was the point of it all.

He lowered his voice to speak to Light.]

If they get too much higher, they will be out of range. If we are to do something, it must be now.

[ Lightning narrowed her eyes, but nodded, and Odin skidded to a halt. She jumped off, handing the horse the blades and when Basch dismounted, he took off into the sky. Lightning pulled the Pumice that Eiko had given her from her pocket, and gripped it.

Something distant in the sky glimmered, and just as quick, a large airship appeared in front of Bahamut and company. It transformed, and the beast hung there for a still second before readying its lasers and firing. ]
