I was there in that very same war. Although because of the nature of that place, he's forgotten that...

[ She has to think about that for a little bit, lips pursed and expression pensive. This man has no reason to lie to her, and neither does Tidus. She decides to answer honestly. ]

I don't know. I've been here before, and I don't remember that either.. but if I was in that war, and Tidus knew, I'm sure he would tell me.

I'm certain he would as well. It was the nature of that place for our memories to be lost, but... when you'd regained memories of him, you indicated that he was important to you...

[He trails off a little. He's not about to get into what happened, just yet, though, if ever. Telling Tidus about being on Chaos' side had been troublesome enough.]

I don't know how it works, the regaining of memories... but it's possible that they might be eventually returned.

[Oh, good, Kain is glad he's not mentioning the fact he's been a captive of cute little fluffy MOOGLES. Keeping a little manly dignity here.]

...I'm awake. [Which is a welcome change, them letting him actually stay conscious. He's not feeling perfect- it all took more out of him than he'd realized- but he knows he felt much, much worse just a couple days ago.] I feel much improved, and I mean it this time.

Cecil, about that penance... [Hesitates, there's something he almost wants to bring up, but isn't sure if he should.] ...Well. Never mind that for now. I want first to express condolences on Ceodore's disappearance. He may yet return as Rydia and I have...

[At Kain's expression of sympathy, Cecil becomes more solemn. Ceodore has been on his mind constantly, but it means a lot to him that Kain is concerned. Moreso, given he's been gone from their lives for so long.]

...Thank you, Kain. He's grown into a strong young man and I know he can take care of himself, but... [But every parent worries about their child. It comes with the territory.] All we can do is hope he's safe.

[There's a bunch of excited "KUPOs!", it seems Kain still has a couple of moogles piled on him who may have been cuddling on him a moment ago. The small group of moogles crowd around and seem very happy about who Kain is talking to. And the video feature switches on to show them.]

[...It seems someone is popular with the moogle crowd. Kain watches in astonishment.]

I know the feeling. It was the same in my home world. This conflict we were drawn into... was especially difficult. But I'm told it finally ended.
