That's it... why hadn't I thought of it sooner?

[The view changes from the myrrh tree in Dollet where she had been staying to her.]It's quite simple, really. The reason why we keep getting shifted back and forth between the worlds is us ( Read more... )

This is a fascinating theory. I hadn't thought of it that way before...

Do you think tricking Gaia in such a way would be possible?

It's entirely possible.

It seems like a tall order, but there must be a way.

Do you really think that would work? And how did you do it before?

It would work, if we found a way.

All creatures display a certain wave. The phantoms had a unique wave. When two opposing waves overlap each other, they cancel out. That's what we had to do.

But I doubt using bioetheric waves here would do the trick.

[Penelo's got no idea what these waves are and scientists still make her nervous after that mess with Balthier's father, but she's still thinking about the possibilities.]

If...we turned native though, would we stay here or go back?

To deceive a world?

If this has been done before, how was it achieved?

Back on earth, all living creatures display a certain wavelength. When two opposing waves overlap, they cancel out. But that necessarily wouldn't work here.

Another way would have to be found to deceive Gaia.

[Like Penelo, science isn't in the princess' best favours, knowing the destruction it could bring.]

If it could come to pass... turning native implies we would stay here, on Gaia.

...would that really be possible?

Anything is entirely possible. We would just have to find a way to do it.

I'd like to help, but I admit I have no idea how.

...That sounds plausible. But... if we had to convince the planet that we're native, would that mean we'd be stuck here forever?

That, unfortunately, could be the case... or it could allow us to bypass the cycle and be sent home.

If that were possible... So if the same thing happened on your world, how did you fix it?
