[ There's a man standing who looks rather disoriented and out of place in the business district of Lindblum. He's leaning heavily on what appears to be a staff, and his gauntlet-ed hand is clutching a couple of gyshal pickles which he is eying oddly. He also seems to be either unaware or distinctly ignoring the smell that allowed for the large

Your luck may run out if you don't get yourself healed. This world is kind as it is cruel.

[For all that the musings he evokes are not pleasant, Noah can't help but like this man. Down to earth and grounded in the realities and harshness of life, but not hopeless or blind to its redeeming qualities. A balance, one he had failed to find and his brother had only shun to realize, the last he could tell.]
Little that I have made happen is anything to be proud of, and the good I sought to do I failed, for though my will was strong I lacked the strength.
Do forgive my manners, but may I inquire after your name? I am... [Here, he pause a moment, as if unsure how to answer]. I am Noah, from a world called Ivalice. I have been told that I am not the first of my world to arrive here, though I can't say that would surprise me.

[We'll take this from there, to see what'll happen.]
There are White Mages within the city limits. You should find one to tend to your wounds.
[You bet he sees that blood.]

You seem well.
[He's faced down Vayne driven crazy-mad, faced down Lady Ashelia and her companions, as wells their ghosts that loomed around his shoulders, he'd faced down armies knowing the battle was hopeless, ad yet he could not even look his brother in the eye. He turned away from the camera.]
I apologise that I must be a burden to you once again.
[ His brother seemed to have missed re comment about apologising for not dying, and he wasn't about to bring it up. He doubts Basch would appreciate it. ]
I am well enough, Basch. There is no need to waste a mage's time with me. I shall be hale soon enough.

Noah, you are no burden of mine. [He didn't miss the comment... he just chose to not comment on it. He's lost you before, he will not speak of death again.]
Where in Lindblum are you? I will make my way at once.

Welcome to Gaia. You'll see many familiar faces here, I'll wager.

[The Bunansa boy was never a bad character, even when he did go off and play truant the way Zecht had, and Basch had seemed to trust him as a friend. For an added bonus, the man didn't seem to wish him dead.]
That's probably the nicest welcome anyone has given me all day. Basch, I fear, has lost none of his old mother-hen tendencies. [So what if it's nice to have his older brother there to nag at him about not being careful. Even if he can't look him in the face without cringing in self-hate. No one else has to know that]
Besides, it's not anonymity I worry about, Bunansa, but rather the other wonderful past aqcuantainces I'll have the distinguished pleasure of running into ( ... )

Indeed, or I shall be in short order. Certain events have kept me more or less earthbound since my arrival, but Fran and I will be up to our old tricks again in no time. And what will you do here in Gaia? No need to decide right away, I suppose, but I assume you are rather like your brother in having a desire to feel useful. I can hardly blame him.

[It was a joke, an old one, that he was 't even sure Baltheir would remember, from his days as a judge before he'd gone off to be a sky pirate.]
As to what I will be doing, first I'll be resting. As dearly as I wish I could wave my hand and feel fine I'm afraid I don't recover quite so easily. And even if I'd tried, Basch would probably hunt me sown and sit on me until I'd rested enough to be well.
Afterwards I don't rightly know. Probably stay with Larsa, as he has returned, until he decides he needs me no longer.
[He pauses a moment, thinking back.]
Basch has ever needed to be useful. I was that way once, and I still would love to serve, but I've recently been less than pleased with what I've been used for.

Lord Larsa! My lord, are you all right? What are you doing he... I apologise, my lord, that was a rather stupid question. Here, tell me where you are so I that i may come and find you.
[Because he was just as bad as Basch, sometimes, and occasionally even worse, with no regard to himself.]
I assure you, Lord Larsa, that I am doing quite well. There is no need to worry over me.
[And, of course, his body is now obligated to call him out on his lie, with a sharp flair in his side that makes him near double-over in pain. He clutches at his side and returns as best he can to an upright position.]
Truly, ...nnngh... Larsa, you needn't...ahh... concern yourself... tch... with my welfare. I'll be fine.

[There really is no arguing with Larsa, he can hardly do more than walk around as it is. He seeks out a nearby bench and leans back, taking apart his swords which he had been usig as a crutch.]
I am in the business district, near the old women selling gyshal pickles. I tend to get a wide berth from other people, so you should not have much trouble finding me if you insist on doing so. Please, be careful.

Gabranth?!?

There has to be a healer nearby somewhere....

The young esperkin, Terra, correct?

Yes, that's right. I'm sorry I'm not nearby, or I would help. I'm in another city, at the moment.

[He tempted fate with Larsa once, and lost. He isn't about to make the same mistake again.]
Everyone is worrying over me. There is little need for such concern. [Because he didn't just almost die a few days ago, really.]
How have you been so far? I sincerely hope that you have been well.
