[After much contemplating, Ramza finally speaks to those of which lend him their aid during the past month or so. While the outcome certainly wasn't what he desired, Ramza is proud to report that this wicked tale of magick stones and foul spirits has come to an end.]The last of the auracite as been gathered. All twelve stones are now within our ( Read more... )

Is there any way to destroy the stones? I'm not really a fan of the idea of just storing them away somewhere.

[Well, this is certainly a voice he hadn't heard in awhile. It took Ramza a moment to register who this was.]

...Zidane?

[Yes, he got the name right.]

I certainly share your sentiments, but there is no way to destroy the stones. That is...not currently.

Yeah, it's me...

There has to be some way. They're from your world, right? What did you do with them there?

Any deeds revolving sacred stones in my realm weren't handled with the best of care. I merely gathered all the auracite in hopes of destroying them, but soon I was snatched here to Gaia.

I hadn't finished my quest until arriving here.

[After Ramza ended his broadcast, Yuffie came up and plopped herself right down beside where he was sitting. A potion had taken care of much of her superficial wounds, but she was gonna be sore. She was more worried about how he was.]

You did really good, Ramza.

[She gave him a slight smile. She was really proud of him, taking the initiative to find the stones, and then even fighting against such odds.]

How're you feeling?

[Once she flopped down next to him, Ramza allowed some of his tension to leave him. Honestly, all this talk regarding the auracite was becoming too tedious for his liking. He was sick of the stones, weary of the chaos that brews because of them. If he possessed the Sword of Kings, Ramza would have long rid the world of these needless baubles.]

You think so?

[He chuckled lightly.]

I feel as if we deserve a vacation from magicks of all kind.

[Even if they never found the mythical swords that could destroy the stones, they'd find some way to destroy these things so that they'd never see the light of day ever again. They caused too much trouble, too much heartbreak. She nods at him.]

You bet I do. I didn't see anyone else volunteering to find them.

[She gave him a wink.]

I agree. Relaxing on a beach somewhere. I'm turning off my phone when we do.

[Gone was the gloomy look Ramza once wore a moment earlier, replaced with a look of mild cheerfulness. No matter what, the stones were going to be destroyed.]

A beach? Hm! What a novel idea. I do believe I may turn off my sky phone as well.

What will you now do with the stones?

I'm uncertain of what can be done, ser. If we cannot destroy the stones, then where shall we hide them? Mayhap we toss these baubles to the bottom of the sea or abandon them upon the highest mountaintop.

I know naught of what to do, but these stones must begone!

And begone they shall be.

We must find a way to seal them away. Within a cavern or beneath the soil. Anything, as long as they are kept from bringing harm to those around us.

Agreed, but may I suggest we find different locations for each stone? I wish for these trinkets to be put behind us, but if others come searching for them--I wish not for them to claim them all in one foul swoop.

We should also take care to lace the stones with a protective magick of some kind. Something that could seal the auracite's powers in case they are found by impure hands.

Aye, you have my word.

I've taken my leave to Figaro to place the auracite under Lord Edgar's care. He shan't neglect them, nor shall he fall prey to the auracite's tricks. These holy stones shall be nothing more than a distant memory to us now.

Never. I've fared as well as Germonqiue himself, the famous disciple who exposed St. Ajora and his lies.

Good day to you. You would be Ramza, yes? Edgar has asked me to speak with you about the Zodiac Stones presently in Figaro.

If I may ask, ser, who...who are you?

I am Sabin, Prince of Figaro, Twin brother of the King.

His twin brother?

[Oh, yeah! He's heard about Edgar's brother before, but this was the first time he ever met Sabin.]

A pleasure to make your acquaintance!
