[Kain would argue that she's certainly better off not knowing about the Lucavi. But he definitely needed and wanted to hear from her more than anyone. So he takes a moment to calm himself further and finally gets sense of mind to throw on a filter as well.]

It's a terrifying prospect, but... it seems to be the truth. He's... There's a possibility he might emerge under the right conditions.

I've fought him before... and I'm not even sure how this is possible. He's from my world... sort of. Last I battled him, it certainly wasn't on Gaia, anyway. He nearly destroyed our planet.

Yet I swear he's also among the Lucavi.

...That's.... rather complicated. Zeromus himself was the hateful spirit of a Lunarian called Zemus. He had powers to manipulate the minds of others, but I don't know that he ever took someone over exactly in the way the Lucavi did here. We have no Zodiac Stones where I'm from, but Zeromus... he still used people in horrible ways.
