[Action - Campfire Post I] [Locked to people in Terra]

Aug 04, 2010 19:35

[Night has fallen and a small fire flickers in the dark, the only bright thing in a landscape that's utterly black. Terra has no moon and if there are stars, one cannot tell since the sky is shrouded by clouds. Mikoto is sitting cross-legged by the fire, her hands tucked in her lap.

This is a great place to camp, right? It totally is. Let's toast ( Read more... )

[The Warrior of Light is sitting by the fire, taking the time before he goes to sleep to clean his armor, sword, and shield. After being attacked by dragons before the airship even landed, he isn't going to take any chances with his weapons. It takes up most of his attention, but he occasionally spares a glance upward at the others sitting around the campfire.]

What did the Warriors of Light in your world do, specifically?

[In the Void, there had been balance between Light and dark caused by the eternal struggle. The Warriors of Cosmos had sought an end to all Chaos, not a balance between the two. Still, Chaos and Darkness were not the same things, and Refia had said Warriors of the Dark, not Warriors of Chaos.]

Warriors of Dark or Warriors of Light are called by the crystals that are hidden around the world to fight whenever one of the forces ends up growing too strong and threatening to overwhelm the other - with me and my friends, the Darkness was too strong, but before us the Light was too strong. Me and Ingus and Luneth and Arc had to fight the Cloud of Darkness... It nearly killed us, I think.

[Or it had killed them. She still wasn't sure about that - they'd definitely been defeated the first time. Whether they'd died or not, that was something else.]

The Cloud of Darkness? [And another thing that sounds familiar. He remembers the Cloud of Darkness from the Void.]

As I fought for light, I never sought to restore a balance. My comrades and I fought to destroy Chaos completely.

If "Chaos" is disorder, I suppose we did too - our world has to be balanced between them, because Darkness isn't bad and everything is made up of both. If they're not balanced, the world will end. That's what we had to stop.

[And it was a very, very difficult thing do to.]

I don't... It doesn't sound like you could be from my world. Maybe another world does have Warriors of Light, though.

I am finding the same. The things you speak of sound unfamiliar, and different from what I know.

[If only he could remember anything about the world he came from. He doesn't though, and he has little to go off of because of it.]

You don't... remember anything? Anything at all, a name, a place...?

I remember only a world known known as the Void. Nothing more than that.

The Void? [To her, that sounds similar to the world of Darkness, where they fought the Cloud.] What's it like?

I know not if it had any true name, but that is what we have begun to call it. It was a realm where the Goddess Cosmos and the God Chaos were locked in an eternal struggle.

My comrades and I fought to end that war for good.

[It's a bit much to take in - a Goddess and a God, doing eternal battle? It sounds... chaotic, for lack of a better word.]

...Did you win?

We did. We defeated Chaos himself, as well as all of his warriors.

That's good, then... Chaos doesn't sound like something we need any of around here, what with how complicated things are already.

Yes. I would hope that the powers that have drawn us here are not strong enough to even pull a God from a different realm.
