This is my gil request for the wonderful xinnk who requested a story about the kids at Matron Edea's orphanage from Final Fantasy VIII. :D I went a little above the 2,000 word limit for the story...but since I was cutting it so close, the remaining word count will be a free bonus! Lolz, I kind of find the idea of Irvine getting struck by flying bread amusing for some reason! XD This fic was really cute and sweet...I think you did a great job showcasing what life in the orphanage was like for the FFVIII kids, which is hard to do because the game didn't focus on it too much. Good job, sis! ♥

~...My favorite part though? Totally the Squall and Selphie interaction! You wrote it perfectly. :)

...I'm not sure how I came up with the bread part, lolz--but it kind of turned out amusing (poor Irvine though, getting struck in the face with a flying loaf! XD). Aw, thank you: I had fun writing this story since I kind of figured that life at the orphanage would probably be pretty hectic since there were so many kids running around there--I'm glad you thought I captured that well and that I wrote the FFVIII kids rather entertainingly. Thank you! :)

~The Squall and Selphie interactions in-game were some of my favorite scenes in FFVIII, I kind of wanted to do something with them interacting more as little kids because of that (and...also because Selphie is my favorite character in the game, as you know ♥). That was probably my favorite part to write because I just kind of went with it when I got the dialogue started. Thank you again, I'm glad you liked that part as well! :D

I even liked the way you wrote tiny Seifer, and I generally don't like Seifer >_< Hehe.

Hehe, thank you! I always really liked Squall and Selphie's interactions in FFVIII (I always put her in my party! ♥), and I thought it would be neat to see them interacting as little kids since I have a feeling she would try to cheer him up and everything. :D I'm glad you liked that part, I was kind of inspired by their in-game interactions and all of your awesome fics with them too! ♥

Tiny Seifer was a bit of a challenge since I kept wondering if I was doing him in character or not...but I'm glad you liked how I wrote him in this story! :D Glad you liked the fic--it was fun to write! :)
