Ah, to clear some things up, I don't think there's a points difference for any of the Provided Words entries because they all earned 40 points in UA, and would earn 40 points (or less, depending on wordcount) in MWS, meaning the difference is 0. There would be a point difference if someone wrote a 1000-word fic (worth 40 points in MWS) but only incorporated three words (worth 30 points for that UA challenge). That's how I see it from the UA mod point of view, at least.

Anyway, that said, I'm glad to see these! The FFX ficlets were really beautiful and touching, and I really loved your pre-game Lightning and how hard she is on herself, but still really determined.

~Thank you! I enjoy writing about Lightning a lot for some reason...despite the fact that she's not one of my favorite characters, lolz. Odd! O_O; I'm glad you liked those fics. XD

I have to say, I was really impressed with the Reks and Vaan one since I couldn't get a fic for that particular challenge to even work out in the end (the quotes you used from the other games were really fitting for their situation, and fit the mood of the story really nicely)--and I think you really write their brother relationship very convincingly too. "Memories of Spira" was a really moving piece that was quite beautiful to read...I thought you captured different plot elements from FFX and FFX-2 really well in those stories. ♥ And I really liked your characterization of pre!FFXIII Lightning...I think you captured her characterization really well in that piece, and the description in it was amazing. :D

Thank you so much! ♥ I always seem to write about Reks when I do FFXII fiction (or, at least, incorporate him somehow!)...he really pulled at my heartstrings in the game, so I always want to explore his and Vaan's relationship more.

Also loved the way you portrayed Lightning - you made her feel very real and sympathetic whilst still having that tough quality about her. Awesome work.

Me too! I would have loved to have gotten to know more about him and Vaan's relationship. I loved FFXII, but the one thing about it that I never liked was how Vaan's story (and Reks) sort of really loses focus. I mean, I get the "big picture" thing...but, I thought Vaan was an interesting character and if they had just gone a little bit more into him it would have made his role in the story seem more impact-ful. (OMG...THAT SCENE. I loved everything about that flashback dream scene. So many sad emotions!)

~I totally agree with your thoughts on Lightning! I loved the elements of humanity we saw with her, so it saddens me that SE seems to want us to only view her as "kick@$$ awesome heroine person" anymore since I think what makes her interesting are the traits beyond that. ...I really like flawed and realistic characters, lolz. I find characters more compelling that way.

I agree, I wish the games had explored her as more human and real because it's those aspects of her that I think make her an interesting character and the ( ... )
