I really enjoyed this. Perhaps strangely, one of my favorite aspects of it was it being set in the gradually-restoring Wutai, with Yuffie so fiercely dedicated to seeing her homeland return to the glory it held when she was little. The switch back to Wutain, the lack of touristy favors, the remembrance of purple as a color of mourning, her training the kiddos... Yuffie gets a lot of flack for being the hyper teenager character, but for all her faults, I love her and her intense loyalty to Wutai. The little whiffs of Yuffie's romantic entanglings makes me curious about their context and how they happened, too, like how she ended up married to her husband in the first place, what sparked things with Cid, etc. And poor Vincent. Bless him. I enjoyed the story coming from his perspective.

Great job. <3

Thank you so much! One of the things I strive for when I'm writing Yuffie is doing justice to her connection with Wutai, so I'm really glad that came across so well! ♥

I need to sit down at some point and write more about Yuffie's romantic dalliances, but when I do, I'll post it here. And I'm glad that Vincent's characterization came across so well, too. (:

~I've always loved reading your fics, and I find your characterization of Yuffie in all of them to be really phenomenal. And this story is really no exception to that! ♥ This is a great story, and it's really neat to see the changes to Wutai as things progress...and the little mentions of certain romantic entanglements that help to pique curiosity and the imagination. Reading the story from Vincent's perspective was also really neat too--the description, writing style, and characterization are all as incredible as always! ♥

Thank you so much! ♥ Yuffie is a character I come back to a lot, just because there's so much hidden underneath the surface, so many contradictions, but everything about her seems to boils down to Wutai, and I find that to be fascinating. I'm also glad that I managed to capture Vincent so well, too. I was a little concerned that I hadn't done him enough justice. (:
