within its simplicity, you evoke so strongly the experience they share of being swept along in the wake of greatness. it's palpable -- their loneliness in the vastness of space, and the flashes of connection that coalesce out of it.

This is gorgeous - I think the two of them fit together so well, with both of them used to sort of playing the side-kick. I like the suspicion, too, when Tory first discovers her, and the way Martha seems to knock some real joy back into Tory's life.
