I do like this. It's wonderful to think back on our life as a story, and the people who remember those stories about us.

I like the simplicity of this tale but I feel like it could have used something else, perhaps a third segment to tie into the earlier repetition. The second story is the weaker of the two, as I had expected to hear a story involving the mother in order to keep continuity. Even so, it's well done.
