OMG! that is ASTOUNDING. The when they started grooming the man I was like "OMG!" because that's such a social practice with primates.

I know! I'm so curious about why there were attracted to that one gentleman.

I noticed how he kept his eyes down and avoided looking at any of them directly. I'm thinking that was standard procedure in the event of being surrounded by gorillas?

I think I need to get my hands on some books about gorillas now. :-)

yes, he kept his eyes down, especially when the silverback male was looking him over. Eye contact is a challenge gesture with a lot of animals, I wouldn't be surprised if it was with gorillas too.

Pretty cool but kind of scary just seeing a silver back that close. Neat experience for the gentleman in the black shirt.

Youngones are curious, no matter the species. :)

That is so incredible. I wonder what the gorillas were thinking. I wonder why the big silverback was content to sit back while the rest of his family checked the guy out.
