The results are in for the LJ Advisory Board elections.  fuzzface00 made it through to Round 12, with a total of 387 votes, before being eliminated.  Well done, fuzzface00!  :)

However, congratulations are due to legomymalfoy, who pulled ahead of jameth in the last few days of the voting period.  I am not displeased, as this was one of the platforms which I seriously considered when ( Read more... )

I'm very sad. Aside from all the "corrupt politican" jokes I threw Fuzz's way, I thought he would have done really well.

I too think he would have done very well; why did you think I was promoting him? I don't want people in leadership positions just because I like them; I require a core of competence and skill!

But given the way that his job has bulldozed him recently, maybe it's just as well that he didn't win. Bets he would have gotten a business trip thrown at him precisely when he needed to attend LJ's annual meeting? :-/

My dear, I had absolutely NO doubt that you were promoting the Fuzzmeister because you thought he'd be the best at the job! I'd have promoted him more, but every time I tried to copy the code, it messed it up. *sigh*

I'm glad jameth didn't make it. I saw just enough (actually more than enough) of his(?) advertisements to be totally put off. I wanted some eye-wash.

I think a lot of people felt that way. Unfortunately, there were a bunch of decent candidates, which meant it wasn't just a simple choice to vote against.
