I run a playgroup at the Unitarian Church (ucmtl.ca). The Moms who attend are all over the place age-wise and so are the children. We meet Tues/Thurs from 10am to early afternoon and I feed you (although in late March I'll be away and there may be less food). There's a $3 donation that I'm not picky about. You're more than welcome to check us out (and I really hope it isn't the playgroup you're unhappy at!).

it's not the one I'm going to :) I'm not unhappy there, exactly, it's just not really the right demographic. I'll come check you all out some time!

Hey my BFF goes to a group on Notre Dame, by the IGA, called "famille Jeune" (at that community centre by there) and it's apparently bilingual and there's people from early 20s to 40s from what she says. Her baby is 8 months old and she has an archive of Bitch magazine. She also recommends some place called Melons and Clementines, on Sherbrooke in NDG, to meet similar minded peeps. It's much more anglophone from what she says. Let me know if you need more info! :-) I so remember those days.... BTDT!

I live like two steps away from Familie Jeune! Also I've been considering Melons & Clementines, but couldn't tell if it was formal meetup groups or just like a casual hangout spot.
