Jeans for an hourglass figure.

Does anyone know where I can find high-waisted jeans with some stretch? I'm also looking for mid-rise, but I would love a nice pair of statement high-waisted ones for when I'm feeling sassy. I have an hourglass figure, 32" waist and 44" hips so if I pick a size that would fit my waist, I can't get them past my hips, and if I get a size that I can ( Read more... )

Go to Jeans Jeans Jeans, the girls there are really helpful and they have just about every size and style you could want. I'm an odd size too (short legs, lady hips and smaller waist) and they also alter the length of them for you. Since I found it two years ago, I've only gotten my jeans from there. The Second Yoga brand they carry is really good.

Ahh, they look amazing! Are the prices reasonable? I always cringe at the thought of spending $100+ on a pair of jeans...

I think they're worth it. There's a girl there with kind of strawberry blonde hair who really knows her stuff. Last time I went there (with my mother who was visiting from overseas - that's how much I love this place), I tried on a pair in the size I believed I was and she convinced me to go down a size because the jeans relax after a while and loosen up. She was totally right.

Go and just try some different styles and brands and see how you feel in them. I'm quite certain they have plenty of sales racks if you don't want to spend too much.

I just want to chime in and say yay for curves!

Having dated only curvy women I can tell you that the best jeans they found were at hip hop clothing stores. They were always different shapes and sizes but I remember J.LO, baby phat etc were brands made for bigger hips.

Also, no matter what, they always needed to alter their jeans but it was well worth it, they look much better when they are.

Good luck!

Lucky Brand jeans are amazing. Yes a little pricey but they fit girls sooo well, and if you take care of them properly, they last forever. I think there's one in the Eatons center

Their website looks good and your comments got me curious.

I may have to start buying my jeans in Montreal instead of Ottawa!
