Can't help with the coat but try The Source for headphones. You might find something there. When I get mine there (they are a much cheaper brand) I spend the extra couple of dollars for the extended warranty. It seemed silly the first time but it was totally worth it. You don't need to keep the bill and you're allowed two or three replacements. Mine snapped twice the first winter I had them.

Thank you! Bought this morning in Walmart, but still going to check The Source too.

I know it's expensive, but I really recommend the Kanuk. It will last you for YEARS. I've had two in my life - one passed down to me from someone who had it over 15 years and another I bought myself in 2000 and still wear every year. Seriously, they are SOOOOO worth it! You'll never be cold ever again.

Me too. I have had mine for 15 years and the only reason I want a different one is because I lost a lot of weight and it's way too big for me now. I still wear it anyway when it's really cold and no way will I ever sell it. Oh and it survived being a blanket on the ground for a girl who got ran over by a car too (she was laying on a freezing NFLD street and I just thought that wasn't right so I took off my coat and she laid on that waiting for the ambulance). Even all that salt and street crap soaking in came right out no problem with a dry cleaning.

Hi. Thanks for reply. Same quiestion - as for you is it nice during all winter? When today is -30, tomorrow -5 or it's cold outside but too hot in metro?

Well, mine is a full knee length parka with fur trim. I would be comfortable in mine in Inuvik in January. So when it's -5, it can be a bit warm if I am doing anything other than a casual walk, but if I take the hood down and just wear earmuffs it's okay. It's warm in the metro, but I just unzip it.

I bought my parka at Mountain Equipment Coop (aka MEC) and I'm a bigger size (this one). Best parka I've ever had and not too ugly. It is a coop so you have to pay $5 to join but it's good for life. Also, on their brand they have guantanteed zippers :)

And I know this cause I work there: Walmart at least had those headphones a month ago. Likely still have them since there haven't been any changes to the modular.

Was in MEC today. Very nice parka but old story - the biggest size is small (. Anyway thanks for advice, never heard about this shop ).

No problem! And good luck finding a parka. I'm a super odd size so I definitely feel your pain.
