Hey Montrealers!
I'm a student at McGill, majoring in Psychology, minoring in Linguistics. For this term I’m doing a project on... well, I wish I could tell you but that would ruin the purpose of my study. But I'll tell you later in case you're interested.

Maybe come back after a week and tell us if you got the results you were looking for?

Just saying that there's a huge Justice League fan here who had a hard time deciding between her desire to put in Batman references and making it easy enough for people to understand.
And that "Thanks" was not sarcastic or anything - I really mean it.
And yep, I will come back - data collection runs for 1.5 weeks from now, so I'll let you know later what I was looking for.

Luckily, we got a lot of freedom in how to design our projects. When I presented mine (with the stories and all), my prof rolled her eyes and mumbled something like "I should know better than letting undergrads make up their own questionnaires." ;)
Btw, are you a (former?) McGillian, too? Or Concordia? Or one of the Francophones?

Double-majored in Linguistics and English lit. and then got my B.ed. in TESL.
When I took the class, half the term was dedicated to group student presentations. While the subjects involved were usually interesting, it was not very motivating!

They don't even teach the stuff here in 201 (and in 200 only this one prof does it) but only in higher level classes.
I just wanted to make sure that there are no Ling nerds who know about the study I'm trying to replicate... but it usually doesn't show up until the middle-300s.
Thanks! :)

And even if you did not have that feeling, that's interesting, too! ;)
So thanks! :)

(Now I'm questioning my reading comprehension in English. Damn it.)

But I'm sure you did fine... for most of these (the confusing ones anyway), there's no right or wrong, so I'm pretty sure you did just fine.
Thanks a lot for your help!
