Auto garages - suggestions?

Apr 07, 2009 07:55

I have a car that I want inspected for safety to travel long distances. Does anyone have a garage they trust and recommend?

I think I may get a CAA membership for roadside assistance, but their inspection centres charge $128 - $170.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

The Esso on Sherbrooke and Grovsner. They're good guys, honest and fast, they're also CAA approved.

I would definitely say to get the CAA membership. Even consider the CAA Plus for the trip. You get peace of mind and discounts, e.g., travel insurance, some hotels, Hard Rock Cafe, some museums, the Biodome, and lots of other places.

I can't help about a garage for the inspection, the garage I use only does Volvos and Saabs. But, I doubt a good inspection would cost much less than what you wrote. Just make sure to join CAA first and get the discount ;)

I have 97 Dodge Stratus. Thanks for the comments. Yesterday, I became a CAA member and got the inspection.

There are some problems that need a good mechanic.I will contact that Esso on Sherbrooke and Grovsner.

Thanks all!

nelson garage in N.D.G

my mom has gone through three cars in the last 20 years and she swears by them. Great prices, won't snow you and are CAA recommended.
