Hi.

I need to shoot an interesting, modern architecture for an assignment. It needs to be indoors, but have an exterior i can capture as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions for places in or around Montreal? (that will actualy let me come and shoot?)
It can be any kind of building.

ThankS!! :D

Try 1250 Rene-Levesque West. It's probably one of the most modern, and interesting, of the large high-rises downtown. Just be sure that you speak with the security guard first as they get touchy about people shooting the building.

Inside or outside? Because if they get touchy when you do outside, I'll make sure I get there ;-) From the street they have no right to tell me anything.

Habitat 67?

For the indoor locations, Eaton Center is not bad.

A metro station?

Central Station is nice indoors, but I don't think it fits your outdoor criteria.

Windsor Station is very nice both indoors and out.

I don't think Windsor station qualifies for modern architecture. Pretty much like it does not for station anymore ;-)

I totally missed the "modern" part.

Well, if you want to take photos of crap, I guess there's always the Palais des Congrès.

The world trade center on McGill. A portion of it is essentially an alleyway that's been environmentally sealed with glass. Granted the two buildings on either side are old, but that alley way is pretty modern.

I was coming to suggest this! It's located at the corner of McGill and St-Antoine. In the week, it's pretty busy, but it's pretty much dead quiet on weekend mornings (there's sometimes weddings on weekend afternoons and nights)

they throw weddings there? Does the shopping mall fast food fare they serve act as the caterers? Nothing says wedding food like Tiki Ming, Quiznos, and a random designer salad joint.

I was really surprised the first time I saw a wedding there. It's pretty, but it's still an office building, you know... FYI, they put big black screens in from of the hallways that lead to the food court, so that people don't know that you,re saying I do next to a classy quiznos subs

What about a school building? They ought to be sympathetic towards students. Consider Concordia's new building (St Catherine St W and Guy), or the HEC at Universite de Montreal (Cote St Catherine, near Ste Justine Hospital).
