Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a good antihistamine that can help with a lot of different allergic reactions, and if you went to the doctor Benadryl might be what they give you anyway... of course, if you've never used it, it might be risky too. :P And it will make you sleepy.
If it is not getting any worse than this, it will likely go down on it's own. You could (should?) probably try benadryl, which should help with the allergies.
You should also probably call your school's health clinic (assuming that they have one, which all the universities do), and see what they suggest.
Oh thanks, the info is really helpful. I'm not sure what I'm allergic to or anyway, but when I went to the pharmacy near my house, I had to wait in line for an hour because they were short staffed. I don't know if i should just keep drinking lotsa water to bring it down and wait or go get some medicine. Heck, I got school tomorrow, yeah I'm going to the drugstore. Thanks so much for your advice! I'm taking it down for future references.
Go see a doctor at Head and Hands, a clinic for young people. They don't turn away anyone, even if you don't have a medicare card. http://www.headandhands.ca/
whatever you do, DO NOT take benadryl if you never have before. you're already having a reaction to a medication, you don't want to make it worse.
if you're a student at concordia, go to the health clinic there. they're really friendly and helpful and can help you work out any medicare/insurance problems.
