Paul McCartney Rocks!

I have never been to a Beatles concert. This is obvious to some, but I'm too young to have been to a concert unless my mother dragged my toddler self to one and I was too young to remember. I never had the priviledge of seeing Wings play. They didn't tour to where I lived in Canada. Paul McCartney was never near me when he toured the US solo.

OMG, that's my favorite too! We are Paul McCartney twins, lol!

It was a great concert and I would encourage anyone to spend the money on it. I'm just floored that he actually came to my end of the woods. Many artists miss us on their tours.

He started with a video montage at this concert as well. It was kinda nice for me, having never been to a concert. My tickets were free as well, though I would have paid to attend. Paul is my favorite Beatle and while I'm not obsessed I love his/their music and its been on my list of things-to-do-before-I-die to see him in concert. Fortunately one of my friends had something come up so she couldn't use the tickets. I have great friends, hehe.

The biggest and best acts usually sail right by us, too. They hit TO and Montreal, and completely ignore us lowly folks in the middle. *snort* I mean, we're only the nation's freaking capital.

So glad to hear you had such a great time, Naomi!

I feel your pain. Growing up I was always 8-12 hours away from a major concert so I would never get to see anyone. I thought it would get better moving down here, but no.

It was a glorious evening. Two days later I'm still glowing :)

OMGGGGGG I'm so jealous! As a huge music fan, of course I love the Beatles and they were a huge part of fostering my love of music. Fantastic set list! I was tempted to go, but I'm used to paying < $20 for concerts, so I couldn't rationalize spending as much for these tickets. Someday...hopefully I'll see Macca live.

I saw people interviewed on WCCO after the show and they had them all sing Beatles songs for the camera. So many people sang Lennon tunes or songs that Ringo sang ("Yellow Submarine") which annoyed me quite a lot. Dude. Paul isn't going to sing Help! or Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Der.

I'm so glad you were able to go and sounds like you had a great time!

One of the agreements after the split of the Beatles was that members could only cover or perform the songs they wrote. At least this is the rumour I heard. Makes sense to me. Besides to be quite honest, I think Paul wrote all the best Beatles songs.

If A hadn't been able to go with me I would have asked you to come, honest. But in the end he decided it was worth ditching his evening course to attend. The tickets were free for me but I learned from the friend who gave them to me that they were $80 each. Still worth it in my opinion. For me this was so once in a life time. Of course, now I want to see Paul perform in England. Hehehe.

Now I need to find some larger Beatles/Paul icons to help me ride the wave even longer.

I am incredibly touched that you would even think of me. :)

Of course I would think of you! You're one of the biggest music fans I know.

If Sir Paul ever comes back here, you and me, we're going!

What a blast you had, or at least it sounds that way. A live concert, a good live concert, can be amazing and energy filled. Sir Paul worked it out for you, for sure.
