Yes, after a one year hiatus I've decided to start blogging again. I've thought about it off and on for a while, but never really made it a priority until now. If my "live" journal were any indication, you might guess that I've spent the last year cryogenically frozen, perhaps awaiting the invention of a cure for some horrible terminal disease.

I hope you don't stress too much about your future this year. Things will work out in the end! And if not, you and I can go be expats in the Cook Islands. I'll write reviews of the various beaches around (and in the process do lots of necessary research by lounging on the beach), and at night you can study the milky way without the irritation of city lights to screw with your telescope.

yeah, going abroad was a great adventure, or an adventure anyway, and now there's that whole future thing to contend with. let's chat sometime when I'm not reading/studying my face off and/or gone for some vaguely legit reason. :) there's a ton of awesome observational work out there, if we can just scrounge up some Ph.Ds first...oi.
